Five Years
Five. Five whole years.
This week marks that milestone since the day I signed the papers to purchase the building and the business, and Branden handed me the keys. For months, we’ve thrown around the idea of a celebration—doing something to show how much we appreciate all of you who’ve kept our doors open and smiles on our faces. But, as it often does, time slipped away, and planning never happened. So the week is passing slowly, quietly. One of the hottest weeks of summer, so far. When temperatures go extreme, quiet always follows. So here I am, with a sparsely-populated parking lot and a brain full of Big Thoughts (like always!).
At the forefront is a thought unrelated to the timing of this post: several people recently have encouraged me to add blogging as part of our web content, and I’m curious—what kinds of things would you enjoy hearing about? What questions do you have for me? How can I make the Thirteen Pines experience richer for you?
This could go a number of directions, but there are two main trajectories I see:
1) A focus on the Thirteen Pines Trading Co. co-op—writing about our dealers, our goods, and our shop experiences
2) A glimpse into Thirteen Pines as a lifestyle—my career picking for Thirteen Pines Vintage, life on our farm/homestead, a more personal perspective
If I could clone myself, I’d take on both, but I need to start with one. Where do I begin?
Let me know in the comments!
